The journey

A structured, mentor guided research process

Each stage builds the core research, writing, and analytical skills that top universities value. The work stays the student's own from the first session to the last.

Weeks 1 to 2

Question & Direction

Explore the literature, refine interests, and shape a focused, original research question grounded in the real world.

01
Weeks 3 to 4

Design & Methodology

Build a rigorous research plan: methodology, sources, and a data strategy, to academic standards.

02
Weeks 5 to 6

Research, Analysis & Writing

Conduct the research, analyse the findings, and draft the core of the paper with feedback at every step.

03
Weeks 7 to 8

Manuscript & Review

Complete the full manuscript and strengthen every section through repeated review cycles.

04
Weeks 9 to 10

Publication & Presentation

Prepare the finished paper for a journal, competition, or conference, and present the work.

05
Along the way

What your child builds

Skills that outlast the paper by years:

  • The ability to ask a precise, original research question
  • Analysing data and evidence to form rigorous arguments
  • Presenting complex ideas clearly, in academic writing
  • Confidence from creating something unmistakably their own

Who it is for

Every curious student, and it is never too early

8–12

Start early and the work compounds

Beginning in grade 8 or 9 leaves room to go deeper, or to take on a second project, so the finished application shows a genuine body of work rather than a single artifact. Juniors and seniors: it is not too late, and one credible piece of original research still sets an application apart.
